I know its 3 days away :picard: and most places are out of stock, but I’ll pick one up and have it delivered when it comes in.
I know a lot of the new stuff is crappy but what brands/models are better?
My budget is 900.
Thanks

I just bought a 30" john deere from lowes. heated hand grips FTW.
edit: never mind, didnt see your budget. its gunna be tough to find a blower to move this kinda snow for that price range.
Cant go wrong with anything JohnDeere, stay clear of Home Depot. Few years back i bought on, spent $700 ish, had problems with it like 1 day after the warranty expired, had a Small engine repair guy look at it, he said it looked like it was built using parts from a couple different model snoblowers! Since then i dont trust shit from Homedepot, FYI it was a MTD/Yardmachine blower. Buy from somewhere that services them as well.
buy Ariens! i have one from the 1970’s that runs perfect. and my father has one from a few years ago and it is also great. fyi, he did not buy the home depot version.
i bought a troy built from lowes about 5-6 years ago for like 700. Its been a great machine. couldnt be happier. I had to put a belt on a few years ago but thats it
and before someone else asks yes i know its actually a MTD as they build about 90% of the snowblowers out there. but it’s a higher end mtd with alot of features.
There is an ariens dealer in west seneca, pretty much at the end of the Seneca st exit off the 400. You can get the exact address at the ariens website. I’d go talk to him before buying from home depot.
I needed a roll pin for the transmission for my 1970ish ariens. Called the guy up and he knew the part number without even looking it up. I’d much rather buy from someone like that and support someone with a vast knowledge than home depot where they give you a blank stair when you say the word roll pin.
well print that model from HD out and take it there…Probably get it at a better price too.
IS this the place? In OP?

The ariens website was having trouble with the dealer locater.
how much was it?
Should I get the Aries on at home depot, or a Troybuilt, or a John Deer?
I don’t really need things like heated grips, just something thats going to last and perform, no headlights or shields.
JayS the guy that owns that place on seneca St lives down my street, I think I’ll stop there on my way to work tomorrow.
You should be able to get a decent airens for around that budget. I would check to see if the ones at depot are any different than another distributors.
BS, I was driving last year in the summer and I saw a guy wheeling a snowblower to the curb, I asked if it ran and he said: I dont know(in a snobby way), I bought a new one". Took it home and fired it up. Its only like a 20 incher, works great but you need a little muscle to get high snow.It was a cheaper Craftsmens model, but works like a charm. The thought of the gift will be good enough, $900 you can find a good enough one for that.
their name escapes me too but they definitely know their stuff there
just buy one with metal parts
arines or toro! My new toro kicks azz!
I just bought a Ariens for $799 at Hectors on Main street, Clarence. Electric start, 6hp 6 speed 2 reverse gears…fawkn tits.
sounds like one my dad has. thing is great. 6 speeds, reverse not really needed. thing goes through anything though, and really throws the snow…
That little one looks exactly like the one I have, just older, what size is that?
521 the number 5hp 21 inch cut…
i just bought that one this weekend, works great, fits in your budget
