Being careful? You can “be careful” at any speed, so basically driving on the highway is a complete disregard for safety. Of course. If being a grandma is your “f*ck”'ed up version of safety… then do it in the right lane.
What are you even talking about? Baddass drifters? What does that have to do with anything. I could think I am the baddest ass drifter on the face of the earth, and I could drive as fast as I like, as long as I am a capable driver and am properly equipped (eg. tires).
Any fatalities to “unlikely bystanders” or otherwise?? Thats what I thought. They’re called fender benders, thats what happens when people have bald tires/bad reaction times.
An accident is no disease just because you drive at a reasonable speed you can’t magically ‘catch’ it.
Its good that you do realize you are a bad driver. Thats the first step, many people can’t do it, but I am proud of you. So please stay in the right lane (not the left), so people that can drive can get by.[/quote]
Oh now your gonna start making this personal? haha, way to go bud, shows your lack of maturity. I dont see how in any way that quote gives you the ability to clarify me as a “bad driver”. See heres the problem, over confident faggots like you, who want “grandmas” like me to move to the right side, so you can get to work 5 minutes earlier. Go have a bag of chips “JUGS”.

Im with mark on this one…ridiculous… you think that your “eg: tires” will save you haha… until your driving on what seems to be snow, when their is black ice underneath…you think you got it all under control in the fast lane when you hit some ice and spin the fuck out…hit a wall, a car, a ditch etc…
everytime you make a comment, you dig yourself a deeper hole…
go have a bag of chips “JUGS” a.k.a mario andretti
isn’t it all about maintaining a relatively constand speed and not steering or accelerating sharply over a slippery surface in order to minimize the chance of losing control?
if you hit ice at 40, 60, 100, 120, and if you’re gonna lose grip, you’re gonna lose grip, and you’re going to slide.
i dont understand how speed would increase your chance of losing control (assuming you keep a lot of distance between yourself and other cars, ie. on the highway)? slower speed may help with a “less dramatic” slide, but the opportunity to slide remains no matter what speed you’re going at.
Speed does make a difference. If you’re going 100k and hit some ice and start to spin, its much harder to correct than if you’re going only 40…
Also, upon impact if you spin at 100 or spin at 40, you’re gonna do alot
more damage the faster you’re going.
There are ALOT of idiots on the road in the winter who can barely drive in
the summer, let alone the winter. People drive like retards in the snow,
but I’d rather a bunch of idiots around me who cant drive in the snow be
going 20 rather than 100.
I know I can control a car in the snow, but I am more worried about other
people around me running into me.
Anyways I agree with mark, especially since so many people’s cars aren’t
properly prepared for winter. I am glad everyone goes slow, less likely for
them to plow into me and kill me or someone I care about.
Anyways my whole take on the winter driving thing is that everyone should have to take some sort of skid control course on a skidpad, but its
never gonna happen and isn’t feasible.
What really needs to happen is the police need to be taking unsafe
vehicles off the road or slapping them with tickets. They do it to us in the
summer because apparently our cars arent safe. They should be doing it
with EVERYONE in the winter. Everyone should have snow tires and be
prepared for winter, they need to enforce that.
For anyone without snowtires, they make a HUGE difference, get them now.
Oh, and don’t be cocky, because Sasha and Brandon are right, you never
know when there is black ice lurking. Always leave plenty of space and
use smooth throttle, brake and steering inputs and you will be fine.
Maturity? Coming from the guy whos argument is half based on swearing? How about actually breaking down an argument and addressing the points? No way, thats for “immature faggots” right?
On all the highways, the left lane what the most snowcovered/not properly cleaned. Driving in the left lane for any reason but passing people at that speed would definitely be somewhat dangerous (even when just passing).
It happened again? I guess you didn’t learn the first time, huh? And I’m “over confident”?
How about you take your own advice? Does AWD matter? “NO”? Please.
As for black ice, I completely agree with Sasha as well. Black ice is definitely a threat. But, in the day befores snow conditions it was not present mostly where I was driving. It has to be cold (quite), to freeze the melted snow, but it didn’t cool down again, the snow just melted. You have to keep a distance regardless if its icy or not, because no matter the tires you can’t stop on a dime. I am not saying drive crazy, I am just saying drive to the conditions. Which is by no means 20 km/h.
-That being said, have fun in the cold and snow all, I am off to Cuba in an hour. Merry Christmas!
have a good vaccation dude
i think its just a bunch of miscommunication for the most part
long story short drive an eqipped vehicle and if you are uncomfortable stay home.
