I would imagine getting there isn’t a huge issue at this point the majority of the snow was supposed to come down today lol
Were you at Ingram for the 2001 7’ snowed in day? I walked home for 3 frigid hours because I knew those grungy fggts would wake us up from sleeping on the floor to take calls. Not to mention within hours of COB ALL vending machines had been raided and were empty. The atrium was feeding people popcorn for free IIRC. I knew it was time to bail when the atrium food wasn’t marked 300% of true value.

The wind seems to be whipping snow from the open fields causing much of the whiteout. It was doing that last night too, sketched me out 3x in my travels past those fields.
Unless they got snow from Ontario, it will just be blowing snow. I hit 50-60mph on the way to work today going from the Akron to Clarence area. Its honestly nothing if you’ve driven a white out on the 219 before. We’ve had much worse condition already this year than what we’ve seen now.
The storm is just the edge of the lake out about 5-10 miles, then its just another windy snowy day/maybe clear sky and windy.

I’d figure more so because of the cold/people walking building to building to get to class and from the parking lot. Its nothing out this way by ingram.
I don’t know what all the concern is, the roads are fine with some slight gusts. Well at least for North Buff to williamsville.
Never going to close lol. They just say if you can make it in, make it in.

^ Has all the WNY traffic cameras. Makes it really easy to see where the band is. 290@Main is a whiteout now and was clear at 7:15 when I got to work so it’s definitely moving north a little.
Yeah, it wasn’t bad until I got between the south traffic circle and Genesee. Had to creep along at walking pace.
Hasn’t stopped snowing at my house in WS. Can’t really see out my windows though to see the carnage since the snow has blown and covered them pretty good.

We got a dusting of snow but all the schools around Rochester are closed because of the temperatures. The roads are pretty slick and icy though. I saw a bunch of accidents on the way to work earlier. Cars just crashed and left on the side of the highways. Somehow people always end up backwards and slam into the median or each other on the bay bridge.
This might be why your on your third Subaru.
NO WAY MAN, IT WAS THAT ASSHOLE WHO STOPPED IN FRONT OF ME!
Possibly. I didn’t have a car in my way. I still take turns cautiously to which I cant slide. Its not hard to go straight… you just don’t jerk the steering around. lol One accident was bad tires and a guy coming to a stop in a middle lane on Slush roads. The other was black ice sending me into a ditch on a clear road. Cold snow covered roads are easy to drive on… its the wet sloppy shit that sucks.
Are you calling him the common denominator? LOL
So the laws of the road state that you must come to a complete stop on a 3 lane road in the middle lane to let someone from a driveway pull out in front of you? lol OK.
I got up at 5am (as is tradition) to get ready for work…Got in the shower, hopped out and had our emergency notification system emailing/texting/calling telling me the college was closed…they couldn’t have done that last night?

I think the main rule of the road should be “maintain control of your vehicle at all times”. It’s probably unwritten, seems too logical to be in the rule books. haha
slower speed could have avoided all three accidents.
Starting to actually snow in the n.Buffalo/Tonawanda area

Was doing 25-30 on a 45mph following the speed traffic was doing and keeping a 2-3 car length away.
Anyways, want to keep going on about this… you can go to my thread instead.
Man, I’m so happy I’m not working at Ingram anymore.
I’ll take my snow day. Mmmmm beer and homemade chili for lunch? I think so.
was so excited to wake up and see my work was closed!
its cold as hell in the city, not much snow. staying inside all day, this weather is the worst.
