Snowpocalypse '14-'15 - Now 13 Deaths

Guess Jeep figures they’ll never get stuck.

Where is that Onondaga st?

WGRZ just showed the band basically staying still then moving north around 3am-7am with another ass kicking to the southtowns late wednesday. As of right now 220 closings tomorrow.

My snowblower is useless…my back is broke from shoveling and I am a far cry from close to the street, which doesnt matter because there hasnt been a plow sighting in 24 hours.

Lancaster - Elma/Alden border

how many bottles have you gone through so far? lol

My Crown Supply is minus 1.25 currently.

I’m clear to the street, county road that’s impassable. Not sure what tomorrow holds. West Seneca, between Winchester and North Union.

And people are dying:

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said in a statement Tuesday night four deaths can already be attributed to the storm. He said one died in an accident, and three died of cardiac issues.

Came home to this apocalyptic scene

At transit and william on the sled volunteering with Lancaster Ambulance. Waiting on a front end loader to knock down some snow 5 1/2’ deep that even my sled can’t get through.

If you aren’t on a main road that has been cleared don’t get hurt because response times will be a while.

Damn. Are you going to be out there all night @JayS?

thats nasty looking

Probably for quite a while. We failed on our first call. Got about 3/4 of a mile from the scene and hit a neighborhood that hadn’t been touched by a plow. I tried to walk it just to scout it for the sled and it was up to my shoulders. I’m not talking a bank then it went down either. That deep, far as I could see. Had to turn back and wait for a front end loader to come make a path.

Heard a story already about one of those cardiac events the news story mentioned. Not going to post details but will just say take it easy with your shoveling if your street is totally impassible.

Careful what you wish for.

The weather channel is in East Aurora right now. They are also near Blackforest at the same time.

Day two. I’m off.

 @JayS getting some pre season miles in.

Fffffffuuuuuuuuuuu beer?

Just got notified, no work tomorrow

I’m finally out of the driveway! Just had to get a bigger shovel.
