Call them and ask them for a breakdown. Ask for details.
Knowing Auto Technicians, they’ll probably just give you boring general things and say.
“Well, the wheel is pushed in and that bent it, so you need a new wheel and body on the left front side.”
Then you summed up the whole repair right there.
Ask them what happened to the Lower Control arms, and what happened to the CV (Constant Velocity) joints. Pitch a few intelligent “I know about cars” questions to them like the ones I just gave you, then they will realize they can’t dupe you for repair information.
EDIT – Don’t rush to call your insurance company yet. Was it reported to the Accident Reporting Centre? If not, you may not want to report it. Even then you have a year to report it anyway… Unless you want them to take over the repair (at a bigger cost to you in the long run)
sorry to hear that i messed up my altima last night too but i only need left turn signal and front bumper, screw it ill just zip tie the bumper its not like the car is mint lol
but yeah find out what parts u need because it seems a little pricey if u can find used parts it will be a lot less ill talk to my friend hes got a sentra too maybe has some parts left over from his accident
OH shit, that sucks. Important part is that you’re okay. Before the pics i thought you crashed the taurus and i was thinking, “wtf? that thing had taurus brakes… how could it crash like that?”
update actual cost for all repairs is $3229.89, so I am going to have to go through my insurance since I currently cannot afford to pay for that myself. On the plus side I get a loaner vehicle while my car is getting fixed. So atleast I won’t be without a vehicle Just thought I would keep you all updated.
Only thing is…to get my car there i would have to have it towed over…and if they give me a more expensive estimate i have to tow it back to the dlr…unless someone from Reliable is able to go up to the dlr and look at my car…which is probably not going to happen…sigh so unless my insurance company wants a second estimate i’m just going to have the dealership work on it…my dad knows the service manager…so my car is in good hands
