skimming the users who have posted in this thread, there are very few of us that would fall into the group you are describing.
you are still an idiot for thinking that after you told them to “turn off texting” and it still worked that you were getting it for free.
edit: let me rephrase that. Skimming the posts here, most of us definately do not fall into that group.
how am i an idiot. one of the people that worked there told me it was turned off before i got a bill. i called because i got an internet charge. so i asked them why it wasnt turned off. no reason to explain that to me so i asked if texting was off. the lady that works customer service at att/cingular, said texting was turned off. but i still was able to do it. so clearly im an idiot for thinking something was fucked and i wasnt getting billed for it.
oh and im sorry. clearly im an idiot when i find out a manager from there tells them to credit me back everything and then some for the inconvenience. so clearing my fault and im stupid.
all of you are like 5 year olds right now
who cares if he was texting, free things are free things…why not take them? are you too good for them? or just too big of an ego online that you need to impress your friends/random people…
pointless thread after the first few posts imo
and fuck all of you ahead of time, I have unlimited data plan and text like a mofo
yeamabu, I’m sure you’re a decent guy. I never meant to suggest otherwise.
It’s just that if you were speaking to someone in person you would try to speak clearlyand not mumble, and when you are on the phone you hold the receiver at the proper distance from your mouth. That way other people can understand you with ease and carry on a conversation. The same principle applies to written communication: If you bother to put in the effort to spell things correctly and use punctuation effectively, then people can understand you with ease and will gladly carry on a conversation with you.
Not to mention that in general people look unintelligent when their writing is full of mistakes, which tends to lend or deny credibility to whatever they’re trying to state.
As for the entitlement thing, you were simply trying to exploit their mistake. Obviously texting wasn’t off because you were able to use it, so you used it with the justification that their mistake entitles you to a free service. The fact that the manager credited your account does not mean that you were in the right, it means that the dollars lost to your account were worth less to the manager than the time spent on the phone with you and the lost customer satisfaction.
with speaking into the phone and to people, yeah i can do that. with spelling, grammar, and shit like that, im not good with. ive always had a problem with it, in which i went to resource room for it, and reading. polk fun if you want but im def not some fucking idiot or retard. you talking to me in person is easier than me typing/writing shit on paper.
as for the manager wasting his time, it was a regular custom service person that put me on hold. they showed them the notes and everything that went on and they credited back that way. yeah sure i no it was on but the fact that i have to call in several times to turn off something that i said to from the start. fuck them, there loss if they see notes that i have asked for it to be off and also checked to see that it was off. they always said yes its off, which obviously was not the case. so yes there loss.
