So I pulled the trigger

This thing’ll be great fun when it’s done.

Best of luck.

Just to piss Andrew off, I’m gonna post it before he gets to.
So the motor is finally in the car today. Muahaha.

:stuck_out_tongue: I should add, after much yelling at the tranny, motor is in.
Never though a DOHC would ever sit in my engine bay…

Maurice, I can’t wait to fire it dude. The ol’DOHC shall live on!

Yelling at the tranny this time! Its always that one fecking motor mount!

I can’t wait to hear it on a louder exhaust than mine!

Now that motor is in, I spent some time today on sidebars.
Finished tacking in drivers side, just need to do passenger side this week, pull my seat out and weld.

Thanks for help today Antonio.

Now to figure out how to post the videos

send them to me i’ll host em for ya tony/drew

Almost finished up the cage additions today.
Passenger door bar is done and I managed to get bar tacked between rear strut towers. I need to trim the backing plates tho, they are sorta over kill (too long).
Also, I braced my floating seat brackets to sidebars.

Andrew.

good work andrew…

re: the backing plates for the strut tower bar… just grab the oxy acet torch and heat them up , and then pound them to fit the shape of the upper strut mount…

you gonna be around jan 20 …to help with the LS1?

I was suppose to drive brother to Michigan that weekend, but might not be going now. If I don’t go, I’ll be there on 20th for some wrenching

Andrew.

Awesome job Andrew!! Progress is looking great!

One question tho…

Why is this thread in the Members section?
I think that we should expose the newbs and even some of the old school SON guys to this.

They need as much “this is how it should be done” as they can see… these days most people just do what they see… if they see more of this shit, maybe they will start doing things right.

Thanks Theo, I appreciate it.

As for it being in members, yeah I’d like to show some of the newbs but I don’t like the exposure I will get in regular section of forum.
