well i had to help clean up the murder/suicide of my girlfriends ex… it wasnt that bad. I mean im sure that it can and would get a lot worse, but $300 a hour aint nothing to shake a stick at.

thats $2400 for 8 hours worth of work… :dunno:

count me in, sounds like easy money to me.

me too

im soooooooooo in

:eek3: that’s a fuckin awesome idea… i doubt there’s much competition and the fees sound big

i’m in

im in…i have a mop and febreeze.

It is a very good idea but the one thing u need to remember is that there are alot of people today that have deseases. Any time that there is some type of accident in a house that deals with alot of blood should be clean up by a professinal. If u could get the word out about your cleaning business and show all the people the risk that could happen if a professinal doesnt clean it up u then u could have one hell of a cleaning business. I have heard of a guy in LA that does this type of work. All he does is have the local police call him when there is a shooting or something and he goes to the house and either finds the owner and talk to him and explain why he should have a professinal clean up the mess or he will leave his business card behind hoping someone will call. If u could do this type of stuff darkstar u could have yourself one hell of a good business. If any of this doesnt make any sense to anyone the reason is because its 4: 00am and Im tired and cant spell right now.

errr that shit is no FUN.

I cleaned up blood soaked carpets a few times.
can you say CHEAP LANDLORDS:rolleyes:

thats the nastiest smell. then seeing little dryed up Blood clots. hitting it and becomes like a paintball.

i wore gloves and some bootys face mask. still no fun at all.

BTW: The Overhead cost for equipment/ help will be outragous.
finding a place to store hazardous materials also.

Yeah man not to tramp on your dreams, but there are actual OSHA Guidelines that have to be followed especially with the disposal of BIO material. You can’t just dump it down the drain or throw it out in the trash. Disposal of that shit is a high cost…

And yeah you think small clots are bad whait till that shit sits for days and some of them are the size of base balls…Now that is a fucking gross sight…

this was on discovery channel also :booty:

here are a few links

seems there are a lot of companies out there already, i searched yahoo and got a ton of links

good luck though

here is a link to info on starting a crime scene clean up business
http://www.biorecoverytraining.com/

i remember some dude was on Insomniac with Dave Atel(sp?) and he was in that business

this place has a ton of stuff for sale----> http://www.blood-busters.com/4sale.htm

My boss is licensed also to do that sorta stuff.

but we rarely do that. too much time and personally i wouldn’t do it a few times a month, neither will he.

every once in a blue moon we get a call from a landlord.

perfect place to advertise is the EAST section of pittsburgh :tounge:

i know all about alll the OSHA guidelines dealing with blood borne pathogens and bio-hazardous waste… I wasnt suggesting i was just gonna show up with a mop at people’s houses. There is a trade organization that certifies people in this field. They have weekend conventions where you can go to workshops and seminars friday and saturday, then take the cert. test on sunday… or you can order this one book that the test is based off of, its like $250.
