LOL I was just going to say “I think Mike has the perfect car for you”

whoa. about how much are you looking to get?

I’m going to be asking $7500obo, as the paint isnt perfect and neither is the interior.

240sx

PM sent with everything you’ll ever need to know or look up on 300ZX’s

but if you’re really into the track scene, and want to stick with nissan…then yeah, the 240 is your better choice…

theres enough guys on here that own 300zxs to tell you its not a good choice if money is an issue. for the price it would take you to make the 300zx good at the track and reliable not including the cost of car, you could build a better 240sx including the cost of the car.

plus they are heavy pigs…for the size car…Escort GT FTW

im really not feeling 240s…just something about them. heres y i like the 300:

i like the little 2-seater hatch with a somewhat removable top, i like the ‘rarity’ of it, and i like the looks. im not a huge fan of the 240 because i dont like the styling, the car seems cheap to me (like its what the guy who wanted a 300 but couldnt afford one had to buy). i like the 300 cuz it reminds me of my Porsche 944 but its just TAHT MUCH more refined, and although i realize parts are prob expensive, its nowhere near the cost of Porsche parts (dont believe me? own an older one…then we’ll talk).

if i did get a 300zx, it would be untill after i got a somehwta reliable DD (i have something in mind right now) and even then, i would be storing it in my grandparents 2 car heated garage that no1 uses, where i would just start doing stuff to it (suspension, brakes, mayb a little motor work) and work on it a little at a time as i could afford to do so rather than plowing myself into debt (as i did with my truck) just to get stuff done. i might even consider getting a decent NA one (caugh kcuvscarifhestillwantstosellit) caugh)and then doing a TT swap (which andy na300zx said would be reasonably inexpensive). im gonna do a lot of reaserch thought and not make the same mistak i did with buying my last 2 cars, which i jumped into them without doing my homework.

this is all pending on weather i sell my truck or not. i did a coupple 3/4 throttle pulls today, and its a lot quicker than it used to be. and im in love with it again lol.

Seriously, are you even listening?

Do you want to build an adequate track car? Or do you just want to buy the car you want and take it to the track? If it’s option two, then why even start this thread?

Like I said - buy the s2000

it’s perfect for what you want. You don’t have to put any money into it, minus some tires.

It’s a “nice” car - so you can still roll around and get the attention you want.

It’s a quick car - faster than your truck will ever be.

It’s a great track car - handles well, classes well in events usually.

It’s a vert - since you love taking the top off.

It’s really not that bad in snow - put some snow tires on it.

It doesn’t such shit on gas - 28-29 on the highway.

YOU DON’T NEED TO TOUCH IT - and it comes with a warranty.

Buy it, change the oil and tires, call it a day.
