hydrolocks his WRX last night by driving through a massive puddle with his eBay intake. i haven’t seen the the car to make an evaluation myself but the symptoms don’t look good…it’s stuck an hour away (he does pizza delivery like 45 mins away from home…i don’t get the distance, he’s an idiot) and after driving in the massive puddle of water he claims his car died along with an explorer behind him (i think he’s BS’ing here). the kid has called everyone he knows to give him a ride, but no one cares because he’s a douchebag.
now the kicker: 6 months ago he hydrolocked his 98 integra. clean (auto though) with a little rice on the back end, the car was a hand-me-down from his grandma. he sold the car for 300 dollars with a hydrolocked motor…convinced his broke parents (not ballin, his mom is a piano teacher that barely makes ends meet) to buy him a WRX after every family member chips in a few grand to make it happen. he basically convinced them saying the car his grandma gave him “fucked him over” by being unreliable.
and now no one will help him and he wonders why, hahaha.
People always say hydrolocked, but it so rarely happens. I suppose if you suck enough water in, you can bend a rod or fuck up a bearing, but seriously, thats so hard to do.
I sucked up a shit ton of water with my old firebird…
Pulled all the plugs…bumped the starter…shot water out everywhere…jacked the end up the car up and water was dumping out of the intake manifold even with the middle of TB butterfly…bumped the started again…flushed the motor with oil a bunch of times…went and dynoed 343 rwhp a few weeks later…
i’m guessing he’s probably ok. the kid is impossible to decipher, i mean, listening to this kid reminds me of when you see “New Member: SiQkQWRX2005” signs up and you see his first post…so yeah I have no idea as to what really happened.
