do you go to the mall in another country and be ignorant and disrespectful to everyone that works there?
i work in the outlet mall in the falls. im a store manager in LIDS and its a relatively small store. this weekend is the canadian thanksgiving and it seems that every hockey mom and dad decided to stand in my doorway for a half hour while their sons ran around my store destroying it. i had to walk up to them and tell them to move the conversations outside of my store so that other shoppers could get into my store. i just think the ignorance level is at an all time high this weekend and its just going to get worse. people need to use some common fucking sense and think before they act.
so who else works in the malls around here and has to deal with this? discuss…
its not really all that bad when the normal people come in. i enjoy retail and i like interacting with people, im not a desk job kinda person at all. im making decent money for how much work i actually have to do and i only have to deal with 4 employees that i have.

indeed. but when they come here and present themselves the way they do, it makes me look at them a whole different way and makes me think they all act like that when intern, i know not all of them do. i know there are a bunch of people on here from the great white north, but they dont act the way these people do.

Everyone I know who works at the outlet mall or has worked at the outlet mall hates Canadians lol. I was at honeys last night and the parking lot was riddled with garbage… I understand they don’t want to pay duty on the shit, but how about finding a fucking garbage can.
I did it for a while and never felt like killing myself. It paid the bills and I knew it as only temporary.
On topic, Canadian’s were the absolute worst. I loved being able to screw with them whenever I wanted and having them arrested when they didn’t have to be. They were the biggest problem at the mall and are also the biggest problem at the football games. :gotme:
Different strokes for different folks. The older people I worked with, and planned on it being a career, couldn’t do anything different with their lives. It was kind of sad really. Not sure of the OP’s goals but I would kill myself if I was content with being a mall worker as a career.
I used to work at the clarence walmart supercenter (when it was the only SC in the area)… So we’d get big groups of tour buses that would come by all the time.
Other associates would come by and warn us ahead of time usually, haha.
My bus leaves in 45 minutes, so I need this done before then.

I worked in KB Toys for 2 years and all I have to say is I hate Black Friday and Christmas. One year this little kid from canada(parents used a credit card needed ID and it was from canada) just dropped his pants and pissed on the floor. I was like WTF can’t you take your kid to the bathroom. Also Just like 2 hours before closing on December 24th this little kid decided to run in our store(no parents to be found anywhere) and start throwing shit all over the place, ripping toys off of the walls, and he knocked over every display. I wanted to kick the little fucker in the face, and his parents finally showed up he was a little fucking angel! WTF cant parents watch their kids ever?
Best thing is on December 24th we were closed and this group of people wanted us to open the store just for them so they could shop. they said “oh we just need about 25 minutes”. but we were closed and the took their drinks and threw them through the gate.
I work in the eastern hills mall and its just as bad in there. After this weekend starts the weekends of canadian shoppers christmas shopping already and being total ass holes. fucking sucks.
