yeah ive been out camping and ran into conservation officers (which have the same authority as a state trooper) while having a 10" long bladed blwie knife on me and they didnt say anything. You can also walk down the street with a shotgun or riffle as long as it is not loaded you can’t get in trouble for itAs long as you havea reason for carrying it that is.
do the SOG’s flip out easy with a snap of the wrist ?
its kinda a bitch being in full welding gear and having to 1/2 undressed just to get a glove off so i can open a knife, or to swap a blade in a box cutter
my lil multi tool knife has more edge on it then all the box cutters in the shop combined.
something with a hardened blade would be best so it doesnt dull when i hit steel / stainless
“Pocket knives” are anything that is 6’’ or less, and are allowed to be concealed, normally in your “pocket”. Anything larger must be exposed and have a sheath (sheathed part is normally pretty lax’ed). HRK, look into something with a spring assist, as opposed to a straight up switchblade. While spring assists are considered to be in the same category as switchblades, most people normally don’t care and you can make it look like your just good at flipping your knife out. Also, NY is pretty strict about doubled edged weapons, so make sure whatever you get has a single edge if you’re trying to avoid legality issues.
