you guys are hilarious.
sr20 is a great motor.
RB swap is way more more difficult.
I’m with the owner of the car on this one. He actually likes to turn his car, anything larger would be unnecessary for his desires. This motor is replacing what was a 4 cyl with another. It will keep the balance of the car spot on and give him a power advantage. For what he wants out of it I believe he made the best choice.
rb doesn’t weigh much more then a sr20 even still 90% of bmws are built around the weight balance of a i6 motor
That thing looks like it will be quite fantastic when all is said and done.
you cant be serious right? an rb w/ tranny weighs almost 800, an sr is an all aluminum block & head, and the transmissions are about half the size.
i personally would go rb, they are deff worth it, the power band is wayyyy different than a sr.
not when it comes with an I4…:banghead:
i would see it being about the same into any thing that is not a nissan, and even into a nissan, its not that much more difficult
200-250lbs difference somewhere in there. which is a considerable amount.
the sr having an aluminum block doesnt have that much to do with it tho. the ca18, also a nissan 4cyl with an iron block weighs less.
