Btw the Sobo is that 5w30 oil your using? Unless I read the label on the QT. wrong, that’s pretty thin oil for our motors especially with the tough loving lol.
Check the level often, RP burns off pretty quickly worst then Mobil 1.
It is 5w30. Idk, I just use what the manual says but the way you say it makes sense.
Yeah it says 5w30 is okay to use in the winter, but you want to use at least 10w30.
In your case I would use 15w-50 or 20w-50.

yeah, i ran 20w-50 in my talon in summer…then switched to 10w-30 for winter…never had any problems…i ran royal purple as well.

I don’t know yet. The car was too hot to really wipe the pan down as much as i wanted.

Just an update.
My tune is 100% finished as of 9/30/10 via Tamer @ 4ws tuning. Excellent guy to work with, reasonable price, and excellent results. I could not be happier with the way my car runs.
I fixed my tie rod ends prior to that.
I hit a possum and damaged my radiator some how. I ordered a new one and it should be here in the next couple of days. I have the video of how leaky mine is, it’s kind of funny. It pees onto the exhaust manifold so you can imagine, it’s quite stanky and smokey.
