if your going to go with the touareg grab a TDI, the Gas ones are garbage.
but your looking at 25-40 and no warranty probably not what your looking for.
I would just get something cheap in all honesty, Like a legacy or a 04-05 Passat TDI, or something like that, so leave you room to not worry about the cost of the issues your going to have in the RX7
I would stab myself to death before driving that.
haha very angry and bad math as I would have equity in the 30k car and never in the lease. Although I agree with your point in that my gf has a 2010 impreza and I love driving it around. I am going to go test drive a legacy with leather and see what I think. I am honestly happy with just having a dd that I never have to wrench on and is someone elses issue if/when it breaks.

Not sure how to word it without being pompus but a 35k option will not affect my lifestyle or the rx7 or fixing it or any other aspect of my life.
However I will still consider cheaper options since having more money for other things is never bad!

I kinda have the view of looking at newman, for example, cheap as poop daily (rabbit) and he had the E30 and the lotas… 99% you found him in the Rabbit… its nice have a car you dont care about, dont mind Piling mileage on. I love being the guy to say Ill drive we can take my car… it gets 40+MPG and I don’t care about adding miles.
I loved back when I had the TDI and the Evo was an awesome combo… so I guess in the “Nice but inexpensive” fun daily’s I personally like…

Mike I hear ya on having cash around is always really nice. I don’t ever care too much about my daily no matter what it is. not to say I abuse but I am deff not a puss. I will be going to test drive a legacy gt for sure. I found a few that I think look great on paper at around 22k but as I have never driven one so I have to go check one out.
If you cant find one to test drive local, I have an 05 5speed, here. (not for sale, but you could take it for a spin)
I love driving it. its quick for a stock car… and seats are pretty comfy.
Nope… but there are about a half dozen on Ebay right now in the 25-35 range, all in the 15-50K miles range. The one above just has painted wheels, painted over chrome accents, and blacked out lights. All together, about <1 grand to duplicate.
