what turbo are you going with? i know of some nice 80mm t4 units
im thinking gt4094 or a small gt42r if you know of any forsale. Sucks not having income cause i realy wanted this thing to be wrapped up before spring. oh well.
ok, put the baby down for a nap and ran out to the garage and slapped the motor in real quick. this will probably be temperary since i realy wanna pull the motor back out to clean up the engine bay some. But while i can get my hands on a turbo to borrow im gunna go ahead and build the manifold first.
ill probably be spending the next week or 2 building my manifold since i already have all supplies needed.
stupid question but… how did u spray the alternator? just spray the whole thing, or did u tape anything off?
that box of bends is sweet. didn’t know you could buy them like that; makes me want to build one. how much was that? ill keep you in mind for a turbo if i see one
i taped off the important stuff and dusted the rest with engine enamel aluminum.
you have to buy them per elbow. i just happen to have a bunch for some reason.:snky: Ive built a few manifolds and im probably going to build 2 more then be done. 1 for myself and 1 to sell and buy a turbo with proffit. atleast i hope.

it only took me like 1hr to put the motor in and everyone was acting like it was an all day affair. I just needed someone to gimme a extra hand but doesnt matter now since i already got it in. I just wish i hadnt bumped my hood and put a tiny dent in it. looks like dent wizzard will be getting a call soon.lol

How thick is your headgasket? Those pistons look like they’re out of the block at least 40 thou and with rod stretch etc at high rpm, that’s gonna be really close.

pistons came out around .037 and the gasket is .080. ill be fine.

i may have to take you up on that.
anyway i got some more work done. i threw together a new t4 manifold that ill be using on this upcoming motor.
turbo pictured is a turbonetics t76 (not mine) so hopefully its a big enough example for when i decide which turbo i go with personally.
next up is wastegate placement, which im doing to the rear again like my last manifold design and i plan on recirculating my dump this time around to try to cut down on noise.
