I was thinking about this last night when i was checking out the update on BF.com. When someone builds their own manifold, tacking it together like it is in its current condition, how do you “finish weld” everything? Seems like some spots would be impossible to get to.
Break it apart and weld each runner then weld them back to the collector, but even some areas are tough. Most competent welders can do it. Matt can do it but I’m sure it sucks.
Do you do all the welding for this?

i want you to make me twinscroll manifolds for my twinturbo talon with dual wastegates on each plz
i need them by the end of the month
lowlyoilburner will most likely weld it, and if not i will weld it myself. it just wont look as pretty. the manifold will be tacked together in as many spots as possible and then each runner will be broken down and fully welded, then they will be retached and welded to the collector, head flange.
looks like fun! i want to make one… kinda…
i feel sorry for whoever has to tig that though!

all fitted up and ready to be welded. I ran a 1.5in piping for the wastegate since i may have to upgrade from a 38mm tial. Im also contemplating going vband with another smaller tial 38mm but that depends on money and whether or not i have a job when it gets close to go time. the wastegat is positioned so that i can point the dump down for atmosphere or up and recirc into the downpipe. whichever i feel will be best.
and the collector shot everyone loves.
Motor will be coming out today or tomorow now so i can clean up and wire tuck the engine bay.
