Someone to inspect 94' Silverado

My dad has a 1994 Chevrolet Silverado with like 160k miles on it. It passed last year with the tires that are on it and he only added about 2k miles since then so tires shouldn’t be an issue.

The exhaust is extremely loud however. I haven’t really talked to him as to what exactly is wrong with it i just know one of the tips from the dual exhaust (which made it loud anyways lol) rotted off and there has been a leak for a while.

Other than that and some rust/rot the truck runs great and will probably get traded in for “cash for clunkers” but if not it will just be used when needed like it is now. So if anybody could inspect it or knows someone who could I would appreciate it. (Inspection is due in September.)

exhaust ins’t part of inspection except for the cat. it passes with no muffler at all.

seriously? So I just spent 2 hours stuffing a muffler under my civic and I didn’t need one? Dang…

yes and no. state doesn’t require it but counties do for the noise ordinance. so you can pass an inspection but still a loud exhaust ticket.

Some guy called me and asked. if he promises to buy tires by september.Will I pass his car for inspection this month.

Yep.

As long as it passes a visual inspection for a cat being OBD juan it doesnt get a real emissions test, so that thing can be hollow and loud.

i wont be needing his services considering my dads trading it in for the cash for clunkers thing lol. 2009 Silverado 1500 5.3 V8 z71 4x4 auto sticker says $37,830 he’s paying $21,375 + tax title reg. hahahaha what a deal huh? thanks for the heads up on who to go to next time though guys!
