Meets & Events that still need to be decided on / planned:

Others
Woodward Dream Cruise was fun, but everyone bailed at the last minute. I’m not going to set it up again for this year unless people REALLY show interest.

Watkins Glen Opening Weekend is April 16th and 17th and if the weather is nice that weekend I’ll likely post up a meet last minute for those looking for a spring drive.

Drift Mania Toronto is scheduled for August 14th as of now, but that’s a long ways away.

Watkins Glen Indy (IRL) Race didn’t get much interest last year and the Grand Prix Toronto has been meh as well. I’d love to do Toronto again but it all comes down to member interest and the restrictions of the title sponsor.

We haven’t had Track (Lapping) Days in a while as we’ve waited on the slow movings of hardened bureaucracy. I’m open to piggy-backing onto a track day but I’m not into fronting the cash for just us to be out there. I’ll likely attend CSCS at some point. TMP has open car lapping for $60… but that looks like a cluster fuck with a bunch of no-helmet heroes.

When are all those VW siq dumped meets this year? I know everyone talked about going to one out of state last year but I can’t remember anyone actually going…? Waterfest, etc?

I miss Dunnville. :frowning:

I get to do things this year!!!

Just don’t give the keys to anyone who’s going to do burnouts in the park, lol.

Regarding the spring BBQ, May 1st is a little early for me. It’s hit or miss with the weather still being cold. I would rather have it on June 5th. Oh yea I’ll bring dessert again too!

What happens after May lol

So, you’re going to have your Z this year, JUAT?

siqq dropped mad airbag’d vw shows are 3rd weekend of july(waterfest) and last weekend of september(h2o) – go to h2o. Beat up on some fggts in the streets. Waterfest is at E-Town, but the drag racing blows.

lol, several of the things I listed happen after May, I just didn’t put dates next to them.

Everyone gets excited for spring stuff over summer stuff since it gives them a goal… which often never gets achieved and ends frustration.

lol :fingersx:

You and me both brother.

Yes, BlownEuros is going down again. We’re doing a charity Karting Enduro on March 6th I’ll post up, and the big spring Meet/BBQ as usual as well. We’ll have an announcement about that in a week or two. We’ve had half a dozen meetings about it.

Sounds good.

Where should we have our Spring BBQ? Chestnut Ridge again?

Sunday June 5th is the first CSCS event @ TMP.

Somewhere cooler for the spring BBQ. What other options are there? Maybe the park on the waterfront in North Tonawanda?

Tonawanda? What’s the fun in that?

Some place on the water would be cool.

Or maybe Chimney Bluffs?

I have never been wherever that is. It looks cool, is there parking and somewhere for food?

Edit: Google says yes that is a cool location. It may be a little cold that early in the year, but still pretty cool.

It’s outside of Rochester. The parking lot is just big enough and there are bathrooms / park benches, etc. But no pavilions so if it rains we’d be f’d.

I think someone suggested this park to me like 3 years ago but we never went because it was 2 hours away for the Buffalo guys. I’d be up for it, but I don’t know how others feel about that drive. http://nysparks.state.ny.us/parks/43/details.aspx

I look forward to being back in action again this year! I miss the BBQs…and playing “Man Jam” at Letchworth…

the only problem i would have with the bbq being 2 hrs away is if i have to work that day i couldnt just stop up and hang for a bit.

but either way it looks like a neat location

That shit looks awesome. I’d be down to go there.
