Is there a way to make two computers work off one card like when I’m home I wanna have access to the desktop and the laptop. I have a wireless router so If I could use it for the laptop is there is a peice of software that I can do this with

Is the card a PCMCIA device? You could get an adapter for your desktop PC and swap them. You should also be able to setup Internet Connection Sharing on your laptop if you have the two PCs networked together already.

If i understand what your trying to do correctly then I’ve done things similar to this with my unix servers. What i would do(might not be for you) is go and get the pcmcia adapter so that the card can be dropping into the desktop…get a second ethernet card for the desktop and have internet connection sharing setup and run a cable from the new ethernet card to the routers “internet” port that way the signal can be sent out to your laptop when your in the house.
If I were you…setup the laptop as a proxy with web caching and bridge the network connections to the router. blah-dow
