My car is not cranks but don’t run, I went to the ecu and the code is 55.
So I don’t know what is that code, please someone asp please tell me what is the code 55 please!

Ya man but the car doesn’t start!
The compression is
#1=170,#2=160,#3=170,#4=160
So the motor is ok, I have gas, spark, new iridium spark plugs, good battery, the timing is right (second dot from left to right with #1 piston at tdc), so I think there is nothing wrong with it, but why it is not working?

if it’s cranking but not starting, try giving it some gas while you crank it

This is a little of topic but how are people getting 170psi + compression on sr’s when the FSM says a max of 156psi. If the motor is built with aftermarket pistons/headgasket then thats understandable, but I’ve read numerous posts of guys here doing comp tests and getting as high as 180psi???
Am I missing something here?
maybe people doing it with a closed throttel plateand the rest of the spark plugs in?
i dunno…
s15 fsm calls for open throttle plate and all plugs out.
open throttle makes compression go up so im not sure
timing must be off
or
bad fuel
or
maf
or
huge vaccum leaks
or
something you think is infact good isnt
I have done the compression test as the fsm says, wide open throttle, good battery, cam sensor disconnected such as the fuel lines, and I got surprised with those numbers too but that is what i got!

The car cranks it has sparks, fuel, no vaccum leacks, so I am going to double check the time tomorrow again and as far as I have tried to start it seems like that it is going to start but it doesn’t.

Ok I was checking the harness then I discovered a brock cam sensor wiring, after fixed I went to try to start the motor and it still not working, I checked the spark and no spark this time, I changed the: igniter, igintion fuse, and still nothing!
So can anyone give me some idea of what to do cause I wanna finish this car asp to sell it!
So yes I am not going to keep it, I am finishing the car to sell and I wanna it working but as u guys see I have a little isues wiht it!

prolly wiring,
even if one cylinder had 50 psi it would still start.
But if it was wiring the ecu should send me a code and the code still the 55.
But I’ll make sure if the wiring is ok too, thanks!
just give the car to me… cut your losses
dont you have to flash the ecu now to get rid of that code 55, or else it will just keep on saying that.

guys I have done the compression test this time “right” and this is what I got:
Piston #1= 160
piston #3= 160
piston #2= 160
piston #4= 160
So as u guys can see this motor is 160 at all.
And the car still not working, I have changed the igniter, spark plugs, spark plugs wiring, new fuel and fuel pump is working fine, I even changed the ignition fuses and nothing!It makes somes wierd noises when I try to start the car, I opened the top cover to make sure if the valves were ok and everything seems ok then I checked the turbo and it is ok too, so I am in a bit hurry to finish it to sell.So any help will be really appreciated!
So if someone has some good tips I’ll aprecciate it!

i noticed yu have an fmic.
did you relocate the battery?
perhaps if/when you did, you misses or messed up some of the wiring.
if your sure of wiring, then it must be something with the battery or the starter.
you need these two things to get initial crank and nothing else.
im not sure if your getting crank or not, i didnt bother reading.
start from here and begin eliminating things for sure.
drained battery? faulty cables? bad wiring? bad starter?
The car cranks, I’m boosting the car from my other one the battery will be relocated after the cra is running ok, all the wirings are ok, it cranks in some point it even almost started, but still not working, the strange thing is there is a wierd noise when I try to start it, it seems that is something brock inside the top, then I opened the top cover and started the motor and no noise anymore!
For couple times I had like back compression(the compression instead going thru the exhaust it goes to the intake and fuel blows out from the injector seal) then I discovery that the time was off, after redone the time and making sure if everything was ok(valves,injectors,spark plugs), it is not doing it no more, but still not working!
Any ideas?
