SR flywheel resurface

I want to take my oem sr flywheel to get resurfaced. Does anyone here know specs for an s13 sr flywheel(i.e… minimum required thickness, is it step up or non step up etc), basically some basic info for me to tell the machinist.

On a side note:
I looked into both s14 and s15 fsms and they say not to resurface the flywheel but rather replace it. I know that after its machined, my pressure plate will have to push the friction disc further towards the flywheel to get the proper clamping force. Does anyone here who had their flywheel resurfaced had any issues with it?

The clutch i will be using is a exedy stage 2 .

I just took mine into an engine shop and told him to resurface it. done.

Did the machinist resurface the flywheel flat, or did he leave a step?

Depends on the clutch, some clutches like SBC/DXD specifically call for the step to be removed…

That said, a good driveline place (like eurodrive) can resurface the ring area separately, to maintain the step

Got my flywheel machined as per the se-r sr20 specs (0.006" step up)
