Weight savings would be the reason. Just like (IIRC) the 350Z SCCA cars have KAs…

that’s cause the twin turbo set-up up there is actually an RB26. that’s Zenitani’s RB26-epuipped S13, AFAIK…

Yeah, that was an RB26. It looked pretty cool, so I posted it. It seems to have dissappeared along with the super clean RB26 S15.
