Sr20dets Are Slow Build

Ok let me tell you some things about my car first. It is a 1990 s13 hatch, which I purchased in 06 off someone on this forum which is no longer around probably was just on here to sell it. It was bone stock with no power options and ugly ass grey interior, it is very mint, except for a little rust in certain spots which will be shown in the thread.

In 2007 the auto KA went because I was abusing the shit out of it dont want to explain lol.

2009-2010

So after recovering on spending all that money, I decided it was time to get some performance out of my SR. Now its 2010 and I’am done most of my shopping still got a couple things left but heres the build list:

JWT s3 cams
Greddy rocker arm stoppers
Apexi HG
Garrett gt2871r .64 w/ wastegate
Greddy oil pan
Aem UEGO
Apexi PFC w/ Map sensor w/ boost controller
Oil filter relocation kit

Repaint engine bay black and cut out all rust
Clean up engine when pulled and get certain parts sandblasted and repainted
Get some Work Vs xx’s or SSR Sp1’s in all black

What kind of HP are you planning on putting dwn?

Supposedly with the exact same setup a bunch of guys are getting around the 400hp mark at 18psi, daily its going to be 10psi or so…

Yes sir… I dont want to waste money building the block for 380-400hp people say the bottom end can take it…so yea we’ll see

For sure… ill be doing alot more lapping than drag tho

I wouldn’t exactly call replacing rings and bearings and main seals a waste… along with a new oil pump…

No I got it at 156,000km from some black guy who was moving out of Toronto and had kids…

my bad then, im still looking for that car lol it was damn mint all stock as far as i could tell minimal surface rust…the one that got away anyway back to ur build

No not yet most likely will be ACT clutch kit but will decide near spring time…

call me stupid it’s ok, but I never got what that silver plate in with the hood latch is, what it does, and what its called… lol like I said, call me stupid it’s ok…

Its a cooling plate and it helps out with cooling, by keeping all the air concentrated on the rad. Its nothing crazy… haven’t monitored the differences but I’m sure it helps.

lol ok, another thing learned here today

my setup is identical aside from the cams. I put 310 to the wheels and 298 torque at 16psi. Im curious to see how your car does. setup for drag or drift???

set up for grip…what exhaust manifold you have and are you saying you have stock cams or different aftermarket ones than jwt??
