i wouldnt ask for an early deposit, i hate holding people’s money for too long.
another set of Stance Coilovers is on the way up, if anyone else wants in on this order please let me know
helped walter set his up the other day.
They’re pure sex.
When will you be getting another set in? I dont have all the cash right now but i will want a set later in the month…
-Matt
they are ordered on demand, i dont stock them
Ok Walter / Paul / Andrew… please post your Stance stuff in here… not in the other thread.
also, for any people that are interested in purchasing Stance coilovers please note on my site that i have changed the price to $1550 shipped.
The reason for this is as anyone will tell you, the package is HUGE and HEAVY… as such, typical shipping allowances before the total cost of the product (after import) is truly known turned out to under cost the Stance coilovers.
the package weights around 60 - 75lbs, you can imagine how expensive it is to ship twice.
if you are picking up the package we can work on reducing the cost slightly.
please keep in mind that i am working with Enjuku Racing and Stance when dealing with these coilovers and they have been enthusiastic about my dealing with the coilovers because at this time, as far as i know anyways, i am the only one both distributing and promoting them in Canada. I had a set on display at the GPT.
Warranty concerns shouldnt be an issue as all products are 100% new and correctly imported.
if Walter doesnt mind me stating this, i know that he ended up paying more for non-brand-new coilovers going direct out of the US.
you are not likely to get a $1200 package of this size through customs without getting hit for heavy customs fees… in his case, over $300 in addition to the purchase and shipping price.
Thanks bing for spliting it :x
To reply to your post Walter. Not sure what you mean in regards to the camber plates. However I’m running almost maximum front camber.
Also, anything over 6 clicks of damping breaks my back on the street.
Andrew.
Yeah, that’s what I meant about the camber. I have them almost maxed out positive. Just seemed strange to me.
The ride is pretty much back breaking…I just love the turn-in response when the damping is cranked up. The car feels great.
I’m sure once I get over that, I will turn them down.
And as for what Bing was saying…he’s pretty much dead on. I had my shipped through DHL (which is supposed to be one of the better ones for dodging border fees) and marked as a gift (which I’ve since learned means little to nothing) and I got hit with $325 in fees bringing the total cost to around $1600.
I ment maxed out negative And they still haven’t caught up to my rear camber. I need some RUCA’s bing. If only he accepted pleasure payments
Yeah bings price cannot be beat by anyone else.
Andrew.
i dont think walter’s were brand new either…
they were used but barely… the guy tracked them once and said they had 10 miles on them
they appeared to be basically brand new
i have another set of Stance’s that will be ordered by week’s end.
if someone else gets in the price goes down a few bucks for both parties.
i have a question for any stance user that has used other coilovers before.
how does the stance coils feel with the rear bushing instead of a solid mount.
i know the MR has the solid mount and what difference does this make?
these would be for track.
Update:
Stance Coilovers: $1550 shipped
Stance GR+: $1650 shipped
please note that GR+ are actually $100 usd more which has associated insurance and customs fees and so my price is actually even better on the GR+ than it is for the regular coilovers.
the differences are:
helper spring, new rear lower mount (stiffer?)
go here:
Looks like they ditched the poly bushings on the lower mounts.
Hey I wonder if they’d be willing to sell the helper springs and perches seperately…you know so I could turn mine into GR pros??? The models look exacly the same appart from the added helper springs.
Any chance you could look into this option Bing? I’m thinking it might make the ride over T.O. pavment a little more enjoyable and less noisy.
Daaaammmn those GR+'s are nice.
Word of warning with helper springs. If not matched proper to the other springs rate they will hinder instead of help.
My personal opinion on helper springs, unless they are from a company that makes 3000 US coilovers, 1 spring will suffice. Alot of companies throw together helper spring systems without doing the necessary R&D.
Andrew.
sorry i’m a total noob when it comes to this stuff, but wat difference does the helper springs do and also with the new rear lower mount? ive also heard that its bad to droop on helper springs? why is this?
i’m asking this because i just want to know the true differenced between the two versions, with knowing wat the additions actually do.
thanks to anyone who can help provide this information.
this would be for drift application, NOT grip.
thanks
Helper springs are used to keep the main spring seated. That way you can run zero pre-load on the main spring. Witout pre-load you get added ride comfort since the main spring is at full slack and you dont have to worry about it becoming un-seated durring rebound.
For drifiting there’s no real reason to have them that I can think of…
Hey while I’m here do either of you guys find the rear pillow-balls to be noisy?
ya, i’ve read on zilvia that these GR+ are supposed to make things more comfortable while allowing the height adjustment to go lower.
so i guess the GR+ are more for people who rather have a more streetable coil with less noise, and more comfort?
oh and while on topic, Cgguy, i’m assuming you have these coils NOT GR+. how do you find them? rough on street?
any input and things you have noticed with these? thanks a lot bud!
