finally got the car to turn over and had it started for a few seconds but it seem to be a tooth out on timing and also forgot to block off the port for oil pressure and lost a little oil . this weather sucks right now and i dont have a heated garage to go out and fuck around with and also the battery is dead.
Hell dont sweat it, it will run by summer.
Summer 2010…:hsdance:
just in time to auto x and rally!
i had to shim the starter on a SBC S-10 project. what a pain in the dick. good luck to you is all i have to say. just start small and shim until it works just like everybody else says
i unbolted the torque coverter from the flywheel and the it allowed the flywheel to move forward enough that i could take out the shim and the starter works fine. when i put the engine back in the car ill place a spacer in between the torque converter and flywheel and it should be fine.
