ok i will probally stump you all with this one… i have a 1997 eclipse spyder gs. and the i connect the stereo and it will not work… im figuring the factory system isblown so i take the head unit out of another one of my cars… hook it all up every thing is wired right( gone through at least 10 times) the head unit turns on toss a cd in and it plays for about 30 seconds then cuts out. head unit is still on and the cd is still goign through the track… (same deal with am/fm) all new speakers in car… new wireing harness… all fuses checked… i just dont know what to do… if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated…
another 97 eclipse head unit or another aftermarket head unit, i know from past exp that now an then stock units wire harnesses look the same but the pin contacts are different, may cause some/all of youre problem, if its an aftermarket unit then i might be inclined to say take it all apart and then re-do youre work again. it only takes 5-10 mins to crimp a harness together
what does it take to get the radio to work again after it cuts out ?
does it come back on by itself ? have to shut it off / turn it back on?
