Stiff Leather

I picked up a 2003 Acura RSX last month as a second/winter car. The car is in great shape, the leather is in excellent condition for 140k miles, but the leather is very stiff. Anyone have any tips/methods on softening the leather up? After some research I’m not finding anything that seems to work consistently.

Leatherique is supposed to be awesome. Ive had a kit for a year to use on the Allroad but just havent had a chance yet.

the only product I have used is Lexol. no complaints, but the only leather product I have used/tried

Connolly hide care ( it was called “Hide food” before the FDA made them change it )it is the best stuff out there.

I use lexol, good stuff.

Leatherique is great, although you can’t use it now (assuming you live in Buffalo)

for best results, coat the seats…and let the car sit in the sun with windows up (creating a sauna) for hours… that will give you the best results.

i wipe my seats like 2-3x year with normal interior spray that you use on the dash, or if I’m out of that, then just lemon pledge to clean them. I have horrible interior care technique. I will be probably trying one of the suggestions as well :frowning:

I’ll look into those. Thanks for the ideas. If I go with Leatherique, I’ll just wait until spring.
