So i experimented over the weekend with my stock BOV, since its a recirculating BOV i thought i’d try taking the hose off, blocking the intake side and making it “blow” into the atmosphere!! but i got no boost??? any one know why?? obviously it doesnt work like any other aftermarket BOV.
Because its not a blow off valve, its a bypass valve.
I have done this before just for experiiment… and it does work. I think you have probably caused an intake leak somewhere… or you released the wrong hose

really!! maybe my cap wasnt good enough but i doubt it, did you plug both ends up or just the one at the intake?
was it much louder? it didnt change anything did it?
You have to plug the recirc valve after removing it from the bov
