Ogden still owed $500 on the Integra and the owner doesn’t want it back, so the owner asked JPD to ask me if I wanted it for the $500. I said no fucking way. I’m not even taking back any of the parts that were on the car either…the motor ran like SHIT when the office drove it into the police garage…idle jump…leaking fluids. Still have to talk to JPD and the DA about what happens to the car and everything on it. I’m going to be suing for restitution for every penny of reciepts that I have for what was recovered so far($6k) And as soon as I get the call about linking him to the car…I’m suing for every bit I have in reciepts for that stuff as well.

id take back anything you could and sue for damages to it or what not. Scumbag kid doesnt have a pot to piss in and never will and if he gets locked up he def. wont have shit so i doubt you will see 6k anytime soon or at all.

When I put my RX7 into the guardrail State Farm included the aftermarket parts into the check. Ended up getting $5500 for a car that KBB’d for around $2500.

Unfortunately you won’t see that money for years, if ever. The kid obviously has nothing, and if he goes to prison he won’t even be able to begin paying you back until he’s out. I’d probably do the same thing because he needs to be taught a lesson, but unless you’ve got a lawyer doing the work cheap for you it may not be worth it financially to go after him.

Glad you got the scumbag though. I really wonder what goes through people’s heads that makes them think they can actually get away with this stuff sometimes.

This. I tried going after some dudes that jumped me in Albany years ago and they literally had NOTHING. They only justice I saw was them going to jail.
