definitely, i’m probably going to have a house warming party or something along those lines. Ill let you know.
I am not worried too much about finding it. The stolen alert on cl was just a long shot. Homeowners covers it, might actually get my money sooner than if i sold it.
home owners is actually covering it? no shit. Good to hear man.
Dude that is shitty regardless. People are fucking scumbags.
regardless if insurance covers it mike that sucks
Oh good, I was beginning to feel guilty about taking it.
We better get an invite too!!! It’s been a long time!
Absolutely guy
He showed up at the autox on it, thinking he could run it.
Sorry to hear sir- that just plain sucks. I seriously hope you manage to catch whomever did it.
I called in the claim on friday. I have to call them this morning about it. I dont see why it wouldnt be covered, its no different than someone braking the window and stealing a TV or something.
But after my ride in incident, i kind of dont want more drama to deal with… arghh.
They may give you a hard time.
Last I talked to my insurance guy he said if there was an issue such as a building collapse, vehicles wouldn’t be covered as they are under their own insurance policies.
Not saying he’s right or that it applies to you, but from what I’ve seen insurance is a PITA.
The bikes cant be registered, therefor cant be insured on their own. so its more or less a piece of property, on my property… properly affixed to an immovable object. In my head common sense tells me its no different than someone breaking into my garage and pushing it off the property.
Don’t dirt bikes get a red lettered dirt plate during registration? Not familiar with the matter entirely but seen those plates.
It doesn’t have a title, it has a Cert. of Origin. So DMV wont allow you to register it. A quad comes with a title, even sport quads are titled. Last off road anything I registered and insured was my yamaha warrior like 80 years ago, it was my first one and had a loan on it, so bank said it needs to be insured.
fucked
not covered. They said its not covered because it can be insured by a 3rd party. NO it cant, it doesn’t have a title, and cant be insured without being registered, and cant register it without a title.
then she said unless it assists the handy capt or services the property its excluded. I said what is stopping me from attaching a trailer to the back of it and carting wood around the property? She said an atv can be covered because it services the property… even though it also has a cert of origin.
I am fucking pissed. Lawyer was contacted. this is bull shit.
Also I revoke my statement. IF I FIND THE PERSON WHO DID THIS, THEY ARE GOING TO JAIL FOR 1-3 I WILL MAKE DAMN SURE OF THAT.
FYI Dirt bike can be registered It would get a Transferable Registration Just as a quad would. Buddy of mine got tickted for not having his bike registered while riding on state land.
some quads do come with titles. most utility ones and some sport, most are certs of origin and cant be registered.
Same deal with guys slapping on lights and a horn on a dirtbike and thinking they can put a plate on it and rip down the road… it wont happen.
unless I am wrong. I dont fucking care, I am royally pissed and dont want to talk semantics.
Dont mean to be a douche but you are wrong. Every car/truck/trailer/boat/ATV/Dirtbike/Moped/scooter Comes with a Certificate of Origin from the facotry. you go to DMV with that and get a Title/Trans Registration. I deal with that shit everyday with the state surplus program and DMV
You are being a douche, who cares if he’s misunderstanding the process. Either way, you can tell he’s pretty upset about the ordeal and you’re not being constructive.
Mike, give me a call about the “Handi-Cap” assistance part.
