Storing & Winterizing the Car

I take the battery out, plus I use the blue marine stabil, and try to find ethanol free gas. If I’m leaving the car outside on dirt or grass/gravel etc, I put a tarp UNDER the car to block the moisture from the ground which is significant. I also like to change the oil

English cars like the cold weather.

best way to store it is take a good running vehicle completely fucking apart for no good reason, work on it, leave empty beer cans in the vicinity, let it gather dust. I do recommend putting the battery on a charger though.

I do nothing really either. Half tank e85, put on jack stands and start n run for 5-10 min every 2 weeks.

Stabil for ethanol gas definitely. This stuff: http://www.goldeagle.com/product/sta-bil-360-marine

Store it with a full tank. Skip the car cover and just give it a good coat of wax. Let the snow build a nice protective layer over it and then don’t touch it. Dryer sheets for inside the car. If sitting on grass or dirt put down a tarp first and make sure it’s secure so that in wind storm it’s not flapping against your car.

Careful with type of cover though- I bought a '66 Mustang from a guy who covered it in his brand new garage that had a lot of moisture coming though the concrete floor. I could see condensation on the rockers of all his cars. After one season, he pulled the cover off and there were hundreds of tiny surface rust spots in the original paint from the moisture being trapped. It did make nice patina though. I usually put a sheet of plastic under my cars, stuff dryer sheets everywhere, and I even leave one window open. I don’t cover them, as I’d rather clean dust off everything than deal with mouse and possible mold issues. Mice love living under seats, in exhausts, air boxes, dashes, and glove boxes, so I put dryer sheets in all of those spots.
