Stretched Snow Tires

So I haven’t been able to find a set of wheels locally for my BMW, so I think I might just stretch a smaller winter tire on for the time being.

Stock sizes:
F 225/45-17
R 245/40-17

Stretched sizes:
F 215/45-17
R 225/45-17

What do you guys think? I’m going for function here :lol
Should I go smaller in the front?

Thanks

actually will function better. Snow + tall and skinny = traction. Worst thing you can run on snow is a big wide ass tire.

Get thinner wheels and run a smaller size. Stretched isn’t the best for snow. Snow contacting the sidewall will take away from your traction a bit.

Thinner and taller is definitely better though.

He already said he couldn’t find different wheels

go to Keeler they sell winter tire and steel rim packages.

That really won’t be much of a stretch, you’ll be fine.

^ That’s what I’m thinking

i’ve seen other people running stretched snow tires without issues, and that is so mild its not worth spending money on diff wheels.

I might of just found wheels :lol

BMW recommends a 205/50 so I want to get as close to that size as I can.

are you on crack? who the fuck wants to run ugly ass steelies LOL

most people don’t really care if its a snow tire/wheel package.

I’ve seen 215/45/17’s slightly stretched on 17x8’s for winter wheels- not bad at all.

What size rims do you plan to go with?

I found a set of contours, they are 16" but fit over the front brakes. I’m not sure the width but they have some 215’s on them.

rock that shit
