I’m at the point where I’m ready for paint for the GS, but I’m at a stump as to what direction I want to go with paint.
I was initially going to go with a blue, but after looking more and more at cafe builds, I’m starting to love the colors they use, forest green, dark blue, dark red, etc.
This is the bike as I bought it:

I’m not building a cafe racer out of this bike, it’s just getting a frame up restoration and a few tweaks (clubman bars, low profile mirrors, less chrome)
Also, I’m considering painting/powder coating the wheels either the gold in the first green picture, or bright silver, as I did with my Ninja.
If anyone wants to take a crack at it on photoshop, I’d appreciate it!
Any other suggestions for colors as well, I’m kind of a noob at accessing paint samples and what not, as this is my first vehicle I’ll be sending out for paint.
Black is meh…I’d really rather have color. I think some bikes are sexy black but this thing has way too many lines and without color they all just blend into a mess because the frame is black/will stay black.

Lol, I know a guy on GSresources that seriously has a pearl magma red GS1100 lol. I’ll see if I can get a picture.
thats too bad lol, checko has a nice tail setup for cheap, If I do my CB750 up I want to set up a cafe seat with stock hinges so I can swap seats for when I wanna take a broad for a ride, but still have the cafe look most the time
if you want the cafe look with ability to ride passengers there are other options:
its a seat fabbed with a factory seat pan, high desity foam shaped like a cafe seat, and then a snap-over cowl that can be painted…find a passenger, snap off the cap and toss it in the backpack.
If you are interested in a venture similar to this I would be more than willing/happy to fab one up.
^with my seat we planned on riggin the seat to use the stock hinges so i could still access the battery easily. it wouldnt be hard. then you could swap from stock to cafe with 2 pins lol… oh and i like blue like the norton up top
I normally hate red but my friend had his old ninja painted a nice deep red and it was gorgeous looking.
The green you posted is to army looking and I think yellow is just to vibrant. My opinion would be Ford redfire metallic. Couldn’t find a good pic but this vid depicts the deep red color nicely.
