I was a homebuilder’s bitch for a summer. It was a pretty good gig. A ton of hard work, but gotta pay to play. Got to drive big trucks, work outside, made decent cash, got in great shape and was actually tan. (Which is quite an accomplishment for my pale German skin.)

Pool Boy, I did it the last two summers. Made $10 an hour and got around 60 hours a week during openings (1st 2-3 months). After openings are over its 40hrs a week just cleaning pools, getting a tan, and you can find a reason to swim if its really hot.
I know the place I worked opens shop April 1st and hes always looking for guys. He also let me work around my school schedule until the semester ended/began.

What are you going to school for? (If anything?) Do something related to your field that will give you a resume builder AND a paycheck. Internship/apprenticeship/co-op FTW. Even if you had to sacrifice a couple bucks an hour for now, at the end of a few summers you’re going in with a year or 2 of experience instead of a couple hundred extra bucks and some grass stains.

When I worked at fridays I cut my hours down to about 20 in the summer time. I’d work 3 nights a week taking tables and make AT LEAST $100+ a shift.

im the production supervisor. the work load sucks u will hate it. u have to go through a temp agency and will make minimum wage. you will stand around in one spot all day and do reptitive shit, its horrible. i will stand/sit around all day watching u lol
