i think that would be a big pain in the ass. having to uninstall and reinstall twice a year, having to get an alignment done twice a year, having to get used to the switch. on the plus side your car will be better in the winter with stock suspension, and you save your coilovers from rust. i dunno, i think you should look into a winter beater
I have a pure newb question, but here it goes neway. What exactly are coilovers? Is it a combination of springs and shocks? I was looking at the group buy section and the price for the d2 coil’s are just slightly more than the tein’s. What is the difference here? Is one more prefered for street or track use?
Coilovers are an adjustable spring (or coil) mounted over the dampener. Using a threaded collar - you can adjust the springs up or down on the strut. Raising or lowering the car, and changing the dampening effect.
This might seem simular to some of you, but if your going full out drifting, try this:
Battle Version adjustable tension rods
Battle Version adjustable rear frontal rods
Battle Version adjustable rear toe links
Battle Version adjustable rear upper control arms
Tanabe sustec rear sway bar
Nismo front strut bar
OBX rear strut bar
Rush coilover/dampners (Ohlins)
Cusco front & rear upper mounts
Flatts SPL lower camber bolts
Or you can just upgrade your bushings for fraction of the cost and the
difference compared to those aftermarket rods/arms is only so minimal
compared to upgraded bushings. At least I think so.
