When going over speedbumps and ruts in the road at a moderate speed (maybe 25km/hr), the front suspension makes a squishing noise. Is this the bump stops being compressed? Is it normal? And if not normal, what could be the problem?
I would say that what you are hearing is the damping fluid moving through the valving in the shock. Unless the shock is weeping oil I wouldn’t worry to much about it.
I see…and if the shock were leaking oil, I would be able to see it on the strut then, right?
Yeah, oil will be all over the place, just put your hand in around where the shaft enters the strut and see if there is gooey crap.
Thanks for the info.
