I’m have this idea of getting an SUV to F around with.
I typically hate them, I like manual transmissions and things that feel like toys…
but give me some suggestions (pics preferred, to back up) of some cool retro-y looking SUVs…
I’m thinking 1990-2000ish?
Cool enough that they don’t look poor, but the type of trucks that were in rap videos back then…with that luxury, but also 4x4 look

the good thing about the old cheap ones is the exterior looks just like a new $140k one…
the bad thing about the old cheap ones is it has the interior of an old shitty mercedes…and its still almost $30k.
the updated Discoverys…like 03/04 are Sub $7k…are those a nightmare maintenance-wise?
I think that retro box look they have is just as cool if not cooler than the Gs

I’m in the same boat as you and have been looking at 2006-2009 Range Rovers…with higher mileage they can be had in the mid teens. But they dont have the older body style that you’re looking for, instead theyre hard to tell that they are so old.

honest - thats exactly what I’m thinking i want. i really don’t want this giant thing taking up space my driveway quite YET. when fall rolls around though, I think it has to be a disco - didn’t know they were so cheap.
what is a 2? does that just mean 2nd gen…03/04ish?
