Swain Coating

Hi everyone,

Any recommandation for Swain Coating in Toronto area ? Thanks.

Not in Toronto, but i think it would be worth the drive to this place…

http://www.swaintech.com/

Not a far drive over the border either.

swaintech is the shit…they sponser RIT’s SAE teams and i have a few pistons from old built engines with their coating.

the bottom half of the piston sheared apart at the wrist pin but with a crack all the way to the coating but the piston still held together.

What do you need done? if anything i could drop by and ask or when i make a trip up to the niagra area i could even drop stuff off.

i live in rochester btw

what does this coating do?

From what I understand… a swain coated piston is no stronger than a normal one… it simply lasts longer due to the better heat displacement characteristics of the coating. I could be wrong though.
