i was reading the posts after it…wtf is orange peel???
Its when then paint takes on the texture similar to an orange peel. I don’t know the technical explanation but go and look at any late model domestic car (pick a dark color model), wash and dry it then look down the length of a panel and you will get a first hand lesson in how not to paint a car!
Wet sanding can remove some of this but really show be avoided from the start. Contaminants in the air like oils, fumes from gasket glue or other substances like that or using shitty paint or just being a bad painter.
