Synchromesh

Hey guys,

Would anyone recommend this for an SR tranny?
I know i know, MT-90 but seems mostly preference

Looking more for facts , simply because i already have this stuff laying around the house.

Anyone chime in, need quick answer as she’s sitting on jacks.

GET 'ER DONE!

syncromesh is super viscous, i believe close to atf.

Which means it’s great for cold weather but once it warms up (weather + driving), it will break down faster/provide less protection.

IIRC SR tranny’s should take either a GL4 gear oil (Penzoil 75-90 gl4), or a specialty (like redline, royal purple syncromax, etc.).

The specialty tranny fluid would be optimal.

If your syncros are fucked, try the mesh or even just a synthetic atf (like mobil 1) and see if it helps, but be weary that high heat will thin that shit out.

im currently running mt90 and i diont like it … im going back to Amsoil or might try royal purple
