T3/T67 H.O.

whats another $800

I thought the GT represented the ball bearing center section on the Garrett turbos ???

the fact is the T3/67 you can still run a T3 mani where with the GT40 you have to go T4

its the R after it that denotes the Ball bearing

yes but if you have no mani why buy one twice?:dunno:

Im not dogging on this turbo its a great turbo i am just arguing your point…

joe sometimes i hate you because you get me in more trouble with these damn turbo cars lol

but how much of a difference is there going to be with spool time on something big with a T4 housing, i wanna drive this car on the street as well.

I am sure that full race offers a twin scroll manifold of the T4 variety for the GT40R’s and up , that would def be the way to roll if you are gonna go that big.

Spray meth on it as well so you can run a bit more timing in it even during spoolup def will help with the spoolup characteristics !!!

How big of a motor is it 2.0??

45R FTMFW

Yes, it will be a sleeved 2.0 (gsr block 84mm)

whatever you decide just go with a ball bearing turbo. they take alot of abuse , plus better response. I dont know what full race is offering for the honda camp , but i know they are makin some twin scroll evo stuff. I only assume that they already have done some twin scroll honda designs.

I have heard that the twin scroll dont flow quite as well up top as a normal flanged turbo , but the verdict is still out on this!!!

when are you gonna have this project complete ? anytime soon?

i’ll be shooting for next year, block is on its way to golden eagle now and im deployed till early september and i figured i would take all winter to get it together and do it right and not rush it.

Good idea, bye bye tires

Go with the t3/67 good turbo i seen 700whp @32psi thats plenty thats a buck a hp for that turbo

thats what i mean i can pick up this turbo for under a grand

under a g it’s def not BB. what’s the A/R and wheel on the hot side? I run a .69A/R t4 with a p wheel and it’s nice and smooth when it comes in but takes 5k to get to 40psi.

no its not BB, seems like everyone is obsessed with BB turbos these days. It’s a .82 a/r on the hot side and has a p trim wheel.

the 8x t3 hotsides are equivlant to the .6x t4’s so that’s pretty close to what I run except I have a much larger ar cold side and a 70mm wheel. But i bet i run a lot lower compression ratio than you do.

not really. it is still an S comp cover and a .70ar cold side with 4" inlet. it is a 67mm wheel and actually a little better of a turbo than the 70 you have in my opinion. here is a thread about the T3/67 HO

wrayzor you can’t spray meth on it or anything if you run power street. straight turbo and full exhaust and interior.

here is a GT40R at 41psi

compare that to this T3/t67 HO

I am sure I can find other dyno sheets but I am lazy

Thanks Sam

don’t like how that 40R just dropped off in the top end, may be a reason for that but I didn’t read into the thread.

Keep in mind folks that I want to drive this car on the street too, it’s not gonna be a dedicated track car or dyno queen. Honestly I don’t think you can beat the price of the t3/t67 compared to all the BB turbos and the t3/t67 has the potential to go bigger then for example the 30R and 35R
