Much longer/more development on the 2JZ platform, in regards to turbo/drag racing.

The euro S50 heads flow dramatically better than a 2JZ, proven on a flow bench. Given the S50B30 a built bottom end and some more development in the HG/Pyramid ring/O-ring and it would be physically impossible not to put down better numbers with a batter area under the curve than a similarly prepared 2JZ.

This is a built bottom end with all coolant passages still in tact, most of these 17-1800bhp 2JZs you guys are talking about have partially filled blocks.

there are over 25 Mk4 supras in the 9s on supra forums and many of them are street cars, street cars dont have cemented blocks. and they will find the limits of this block very soon. and engine dyno cant provide real world stress the engine will see, there are no expansion joints or pot holes, the conditions are perfect in the cell… we’ll see. quit being a hater. sure its BMW, great, but an engine dyno video proves nothing as far as real world goes.

Sure but the S14 is based on the M10 block, which is less than ideal for boost, which is why no one even bothers.

I know this is all just stupid bmw fanboi popping off at the mouth with theoretical crap, but the potential is definitely there. The Supra just has a much larger aftermarket/more interest in the platform when it comes to drag racing.
