Tank grips Tech Spec vs Stomp grip

Tech Spec C3 Street/ some track

Personally I use Tech Spec C3’s and I love them for street use. Much like tries I would say it boils down to preference when it come’s to tank grips. I know graves also sells some, but I haven’t really heard anyone touch on them.

Tech spec C3’s are the newest model from the company and also offers better grip than previous models. I can attest that in jeans I feel totally locked on to the bike, but with leathers & I can’t really feel, but I am sure this is due to how thick my leathers are.

I did manage to rip my set on the right side due to my more aggressive body position while leaning into left handers. Pictured here

I will give tec spec the benefit of the doubt and say maybe I got one bad one out of the pack or maybe I didn’t apply it right. But, I contacted them showed pictures & they sent me a whole new set with a free Key chain absolutely No charge!:excited:number1

Now if your riding street in jeans and do some what aggressive twist ride. I really suggest you buy a set and put an end to tank slappers:lol

Stomp grips
Track/ some street riding
The downer of stompgrips is it’s a one time apply unlike C3’s so if you screw it up, you’ll to buy a whole new set.

The track junkies SWEAR buy stomp grip and I can understand why the more aggressive design insures you are locked int that bike like Velcro,
but prolonged use can damage leather & jeans (some say it doesn’t others say it does). But as I said it offers better grip than techspec.

I’ve notice when he reviews items he doesn’t give a opinion… on anything it’s more like he just talks about the item.

Stomp Grip is the first thing I did to both of my bikes after I got them. I echo Gundam’s comment with the Tech Spec that they are more street (clothing) friendly. My riding jeans are showing wear from the Stomp Grip and it bites if you are not wearing leather or using knee guards.

I’ve used them both at the track and they seemed to perform about the same. Tech Spec “claimed” to be reusable, but personally I wouldn’t trust that. Just make sure to follow instructions when installing and there is usually 24hrs period for the adhesive to set.

There are also DIY tank grip online.

I’ve actually had to pull off and move my techspecs once it worked.
But when I ripped one it was a bitch getting it off.:rofl

ordering techspec’s now

hell yeah:excited

I got another set of stomp grip for the new bike, I don’t even know how people can ride, especially in street clothes, without them.

IDK how people lean the bike with out getting off the seat at all.:rofl
But I totally agree once you go tank grip you never go back.

Dave did a review on some Tech-Spec stuff.
