Live and learn bro…been there more than once.
why is that? ive put 16k on mine since the issue i had. and in that time the only thing ive had to replace has been an axle. a whopping 64$ later…
ill give you 2500$ for it right now if its as big a pile as you make it out to be
Seems like every one of them other than Bakerins has had a major issue of sorts, leaving the owner bitching about them, writing things like “VW=fail”, etc. I haven’t looked into it hard or anything, but seems like I haven’t had to
Just so frustrating… like insanely frustrating. I have gone through so much automotive hell this year its not even funny.
I once bought (~2003ish) a Jim P White Lightning Era Grand Prix GTP for a daily, thinking that it’d be cool to ‘drive with boost’ everyday. Epic fail.
stuff happens man. they arent 80s/90s toyotas that run on hopes and dreams for the rest of your life, but i think alot of the problems are people who dont know what they are buying, buy one and they just make complaint after complaint. the issue is probably something simple. clutch line o-ring could be split, who knows. the cars arent complicated at all, you just have to have enough sense to figure it out.
ill tell ya, i get in and drive it 600 or so miles a week and never worry about it(except the oilpans location to the ground) once the vette wheels come off and i raise the car back up, ill worry even less.
Thats the last thing that I could try… but the o ring looked fine
I hear you on that, it’s something that requires a knowledge of what you’re getting into (not saying that people here don’t, but previous owners prolly didnt)
When feasible, always change an oring man, even if it looks ok. There is nothing that says you can’t reuse them, but only makes sense to do it.
i’d really like to see exactly what is going on with this thing.
clutch isn’t disengaging… car wont go into gear… car wants to lunge when trying to get it into gear with the pedal pushed to the floor
What have you changed/inspected so far?
have you removed the inspection plug for the clutch and looked down inside ?
Original slave cylinder was leaking fluid when pumping the clutch… so we replaced the slave cylinder.
No.
i really want to check this out
Last thing I need is another person treating me like im some moron… I already put up with that all week.
hmm ok.
??? Won’t be Brett
Last time I saw brett was in napa and all he did was criticize my k20 build and asked why joe jigs was building it.
