I had considered getting one of my own for a while, but the used prices are insane. If you are looking to save money, you would have to drive for a long time to justify the extra cost over a 1.8T Jetta.

you have to drive a new Jetta TDi 90,000 miles before you start recouping the money difference between it and a comparable gas motor Jetta.
