Tendonitis - Is there a Cure?

So do I and I swear my joints hurt worse when I am over stressed and it goes higher. I take the GNC mens one a day with a joint supp and it helps me a ton. Joint supp I take is Flex-a-min.

I have the exact same thing and rest is the ONLY cure. I talked at length with some docs too.

HAHAHAHAHAHA Drew i do not have high blood pressure!

I haven’t seen a doctor about it, but I think that’s what it is.

i think we should beat some people up, like, if u just beat the shit out of someone i think it’ll go away

nyspeed cage fights? anyone? im down

I do :frowning: So did you ever say if you are taking a joint supp?
I started taking this one when I was running tons and it cleared up the same pain i was getting. This, icyhot, and STRAPS and I took no time off.

IN but im wearing a pink speedo(gets in their head ya know)

I take flax seed oil. I can’t take Glucosamine Chrondroitin cause I’m allergic to fish.

NO.

I didn’t read through the nonsense and what not on this thread but here goes.

I’ve had tendonitis in my right elbow for about 7 years from blowing out my arm in baseball.

Choices are, NSAIDs, ice/heat/rest, cortizone (shots, cream), steroid medication, REHABILITATION, and braces/bands.

Get on a rehab schedule. Those stupid stretches and exercises with a tennis ball will go a long way.

NSAIDS worked for me years ago but just make me sick now so I don’t take them.

A cortizone shot will lube the joint and mask the pain but ultimately won’t “help”.

I wear a tennis elbow brace and that helps big time!!

Steroid-noun-any of several fat-soluble organic compounds.

I am not calling it an anabolic steroid, which would be a class of steroid hormones related to testosterone. They increase protein synthesis within cells that causes the build up of muscles and the shrinking of your ball bag.

Not all steroids work like this. A steroid is a group of organic compounds that induce reparations of human cellular tissues such as muscle tissue and cartilage. Which in the case of tendonitis, ankylopoietic spondilitis, bursitis, these are the main things that are effected.

Aflutop uses sever organic compounds like zinc, copper, sodium, calcium, iron, and magnesium, and sea fish bioactive concentrate to induce cellular reconstruction and regeneration in damaged joints, tissues, and cartilage.

Technically it IS[SIZE=3] a steroid.

But he already said this is not an option for him. So GL to the OP in your search.

Flame edited out because I was being a dick.

Calm down dude, saying you can’t take a rest if the answer might be rest because you need to keep going to the gym is not a defensible position unless you’re a professional body-builder and you’ll go broke otherwise.

Then Aflustop would kill you. Use the wraps imo. Can’t kill ya thats for sure.

He’s not looking to stop working out you idiot, he wants to help out his injury; tendonitis doesn’t just go away over time anyhow.

Stretch, use wraps, tennis elbow brace, and maybe certain medications. It’ll help but never really go away.

Just got back from the gym and it was arm day. My arm hurts but the pain isn’t unbearable. It hurts pretty bad when I clench my fist, so whatever that means. I’m icing it now, tomorrow I’ll go buy the Wraps.

Let me know how that works out… I have an Arms day tomorrow… I’m sure I’ll be in the same boat lol

Definitely

Get a pen and write out a sentence. Is your hand writing unusual or hard to hold the pen?

Hold out your arm with fingers straight out, palm facing the ground. Put resistance along your index finger with your other hand, now try to move your hand against the pressure. Where does it hurt?

I tried this too… my ass hurts…

I can fucking read, you idiot, and I may not be a doctor, but the Mayo Clinic in their infinite medical wisdom agrees:

Mayo Clinic Entry on Tendinitis

First point in Prevention: EASE UP! Avoid activities that place excessive stress on your tendons, especially for prolonged periods. If you notice pain during a particular exercise, stop and rest.

Imagine that: you have an injured body part, and in addition to seeking treatment, including anti-inflammatories, corticosteroids, and physical therapy, you stop stressing it by doing the same thing!

We know he doesn’t want to stop in the long term, but one of the things (not the only thing) he needs to do to keep it from getting worse is stop stressing it while he seeks alternative care. Christ almighty, you’d think that’s rocket science, the way you jumped on me.
