There is more damage, but that’s all my father has sent me for now since I had them shipped to his house. Just FYI, they were packed by FedEx, and here’s what they looked like right before they were shipped (Pulled off a GT2 car with less than 4k miles). The delivery guy was on the phone with his boss 3 times and sounded quite nervous according to my father. So out of 12 wheels they delivered, they didnt fuck up 10 of them, way to go FedEx!

Jesus christ…I’m shipping a set of rims Fed Ex this week. Unbelievable.

Why didn’t they keep the rubber on? Thats how I always ship rims, even though it costs more.

Heads are gonna roll, and the blood is gonna flow…

:hang::hang::hang::hang::hang::hang:

whoever packed them is a complete idiot…

so is the person that dropped them off and ALLOWED that packaging.

I would never trust some store monkey to pack something that was very valuable to me personally or monetarily

edit: keeping the rubber on does not guarantee then rim faces wont get chewed up. Wheels have to be packed properly. period.

The difference in shipping a set of wheels that size with the rubber from CA to NY is not a “small” difference. Besides, we negotiated without the tires since they were almost brand new Pilot Sport’s (315’s) and I didnt want them. (I dont like Pilot Sports).

I’m going to keep them, sand them out and get a nice check from FedEx for their stupidity. The box was tight on the wheel, it appears as though someone played catch with it.

Wow bro, talk about bad luck with shipping companies on your behalf.

true, but u have to admitt, ALOT of damage happens at the corners of an object as thats usualy the part that comes thru the box first

did they go ground or express.

that sucks…sorry to hear man.

wow mike that sucks :(…hopefully the claim goes well

wow. that sucks. keep us posted on the status of u claim.

I thought you where looking for the late GT2 rims?

that sucks mike and they had to damage the ones you were going to use and not the other ones

Ouch! I always pack all 8 edges of a rim in foam, but it appears that wouldn’t have even worked in this situation, because it looks like they dragged your rims behind the truck for a while. If Fed-Ex packed them, it’s on them I guess.

Damn that sucks man. I got a blower motor in the mail today for my IS300 and all 3 flanges were snapped off so I couldn’t even use it. Thanks US Postal Service.

wow, really sorry to hear - those look like some great rims :frowning:

dont quote me on this, but i dont think they insure it unless you let them pack it. or so they say at the UPS store.

FedEx will let you pack it yourself and insure it for as much as you want. At $500 and up they will open the box up and inspect your packing job before they insure it.

That was packaged improperly. I cant believe they did that themselves. Thats a horrible packaging job. There should be double or triple layer cardboard liners on the sides and bottom bc of the heavy weight. Plus foam to take up all empty space.
