the Actual Work-Out thread

test is an injection^

The test kits I was looking at while at Vitamin Shoppe were pills

hes thinking of t booster pills I think.

Whatever the testosterone was, it was in pill form.

Impressive results.

I don’t take any supplements other than whey after the gym, I work outside and I feel like I’m sweating away water to the point I look more defined. I’ve been doing drop sets because I started to Plateau, they seem to be working for the most part.

Aside from doing Army PRT every morning I follow onw of Steve Cook’s workouts called the big man on campus.

For supplements I use:
-Cell Mass for creatine (pre and post workout)
-ON 100% Whey protein (4-5 40g shakes a day)
-Optimen Vitamin (once a day)
-Fish oil pills (twice a day)
-Casein Protein (once a day before bed)
-Amino Energy (pre workout)

I did straight cardio for 3 weeks before starting up lifting and cut down to around 230lbs. After about a month or so I bulked back up to 260lbs taking in 300+ grams of protein a day from either food or shakes plus the creatine causing me to bloat a little bit with water weight. I stopped lifting heavy though due to an injury in my shoulder and hip from when I fell off a FMTV in full kit about a 10 foot drop.

So after watching some ct fletcher vids, and deciding I’ve always read to not over train and always did a basic split with a few workouts per muscle group, being a hard gainer not a lot of cardio at all.

I still do a basic split chest/tris back/bis legs/shoulders/traps/abs, but now pyramid up to max and drop set down and even do push ups after (chest). But every body part pryamid up to max and dropset after. I do supersets too on my tris, and bis, also try to get out of the gym quicker while hitting my traps I run over and do my abs, back and forth.

What’s everyone’s take on overtraining, ct fletcher says thats how you get big and he does his bi’s everyday even on his birthday lol.

I only hit everything once a week still but I feel I really hit them hard now.

I’m following a routine now that puts me in the gym 5 days a week. Noticed some improvements already.

I forgot to mention I do everything to failure now. I just feel like I’ve worked out a long time and went by the books of dont over do it, try not to overtrain. So now I look my best which isn’t even close to as big as I want to be, although I guess can one ever be big enough? I’ve platued and my strength gains have stopped, so its time for me to do something different and I decided just increase intensity, work preformed, reps, just everything lol, we’ll so how it works, nothing ever comes fast.

There is absolutely NOTHING sold over the counter that can raise test levels, save your money, they’re the electric turbos of the supplement world.

^^ this.

the only things that “work” are protein powders and creatine…everything else is a hoax. IMO

on another note… went for my PR on front squat @ 315 lbs… dropped down, and went to get back up, made it 3/4 of the way and had to bail, unfortunatly I dropped it from my front rack and din’t move my right arm fast enough, basically bending my hand backwards so the backside of my hand was almost in contact with my arm.

needless to say, my wrist swelled up like a MOFO for about a week, ~2 weeks later and I’m just now starting to bench at full weight. fucking sprains.

Animal Pump is an awesome product, I’m looking forward to trying out the Stack when I plateau again

IMO CT Fletcher is super annoying. Doing bis everyday is probably one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. I do them roughly twice a week, and the second is only supplemental to back.

Also, anybody in here compete? I’m the show manager for the Natural Muscle Association shows and we have one next weekend on the 19th. If anyone from here is going it would be great to meet some of you.

I do Chest/Triceps (Saturday) - Back/Biceps (Sunday) - Off (Monday) - Legs (Tuesday) - Shoulders (Wednesday) - Off (Thursday) - Active Rest Day (Friday) Usually I hit a little of everyone on this day

I do 5-10min of cardio either bike or running before doing weights.

Most of my stuff is 3 Sets, the last one being to failure and then a drop set. Supersets are no rest between and usually each set is to failure.

NO MATTER what routine you’re doing, someone is going to bitch about it. For some stuff I’ve lowered weight a bit and focused more on form. I feel like no matter what weight you’re doing, if you don’t have good form, you’re not going to get results.

I watched a different video he states he did his arms everyday, but alternated like bi’s one day, next day tri’s, next day bi’s. so they always had a day of rest.

I feel there’s no way he is natural but it would be awesome to be capable of being that size naturally.

Eh still, I know its a smaller muscle but I’d still want more recovery than a day.
I highly doubt he is natural, especially to be that size at his age and with the claims he makes. I’d like to know what he’s running lol

i havent been to the gym since sept 20th.

ate like shit while on a motorcycle trip

just now starting to get my diet back in shape…perhaps ill start my gym routine next week

All I know is I’m training harder then ever. Drop sets, supersets, rest/pause reps, everything to failure, everything heavy to a dropset, one rep max every week. Ill just have to see what it does to me in a few months. My max bench has increased but I feel like I’m not that strong still. One rep max bench is 205lbs. I weigh 150lbs, 5’8" hard gainer lol. I eat around 4,000 calories a day, 40g protein 50g carbs every meal. Whole milk every meal. I’m sure I get plenty of fat, I eat Oreos and goldfish with a big cup of milk after work 1hr before the gym.

Yeah I tried the whole grains, complex carb clean eating but it did nothing for me, I find it still comes to calories in calories out, that’s why I eat oeros now, and I look the same. I’m a fit person and when pumped at the gym I’m very vascular and look like a different person by the end of my workouts. So the way I look at it is, if I’m not eating enough why am I not getting more cut. So I should be eating enough.

Now things I could change are probably try to eat like 6k calories a day, maybe I’m not eating enough even though for my weight and height my bmr is like 3,400 calories a day. I just don’t see the need of eating too much and plumping up. My abs are fairly visable, I see them more when I flex.

I only just started training this hard this past month so ill just wait and be patient to see what results i get before I change anything else.

Well back in May I weighd 142 pouns

I’m up to 175 now

Things I’ve changed - Added creatine to my diet, drink 2 shakes a day versus 1, taking a multivitamin, taking a PWO

When I get to 185/190 I’ll cut in the spring

Basic Lifts - Bench - May : 8-10 reps of 185 max, Now : 5-245
DL - from 5 reps of 245 to maxing 5 reps 315

Prog and I have been hitting the gym pretty hard in the past 2 months.

From August until present, in the past 3 weeks have I really been starting to notice a difference.

I weighed about 180 over the summer and could tell it wasn’t lean muscle. Now I’m about 194, and I can tell it’s mostly muscle. I’ve added pure creatine, in the past 3 weeks and have started to notice huge increases in rep/weight.

I’m curious to know what protein you guys are taking. I’ve been taking Gold Standard, but I’m starting to run low.

Meals: strict daily routine

  1. Breakfast shake w/ milk
  2. 3-4 hard boiled eggs (varies with yogurt, banana)
  3. Meat or fish w/ low starch veggie
  4. Pistachio’s, Sunflower seeds, protein bar <— I usually pick just one of these three
  5. Meat or fish w/ low starch veggie

Pre-workout: Creatine w/ workout supliment
Post-workout: Protein shake w/ milk

Tons of water, of course.

Thing’s I’ve started to flock away from…
-I was eating a Cliff bar everyday as a snack until I realized that there’s about 45 grams of carbs in each bar…
-Potato’s, high starch, and too many carbs
-Beans, and rice… Hell, giving up these were tough
-Orange Juice, :’(
-DRAFT BEER
