this is what GM calls the beast. suppose to be the strongest version of planetry gears for the 4l60e

Its a pretty common failure for mopar tranny’s as well. We used to just weld the hair line cracks up if that didn’t get all the way to the ends yet.

do they make different planetary gear ratios for those trans? i’d like a little less gear on first, and alittle more gear on second.

that dont change first gear ratio

naw i mean different internal gears… i thought they had different ratios in some TH350’s/400’s but i’d like to see better ratios in the 700r4/4l60E

its no biggie, but i’d like to see alittle more gear in second. 1-2 drop really is weak

upgrade your rear gears

4:10 or higher fixes that prob.
i think the 4l65e has a better planetary/reaction shell but i don’t remember.
